What's the minimum age for a driver of a rental vehicle?

The minimum age to be able to drive a hire car is normally 21 years old (with one year's experience). Some car rental companies, however, my require that the driver be 23 years old. Please consult our instant quote for details of a particular car rental company.

Is the car delivered with a full tank of petrol? Is there a charge for this?

Fuel policy varies between car rental companies. Some operate a full-empty policy where the vehicle is delivered with a full tank (and a corresponding charge is made) and the customer is expected to return the vehicle empty (or near empty). Please consult our instant quote for details of the fuel policy employed by a particular car rental company.

Can I pay with cash when I pick up my vehicle?

No, you normally can't pay in cash - payment should be made by credit card. Some of our suppliers may accept payment in cash as long as a cash deposit is also left or credit card number is provided as guarantee. Please consult us.

Can I return the vehicle in a different location from where I picked it up?

Though we normally deal with car hires which involve the collection and return of the vehicle in the same location, it is often possible to return the vehicle in another location by previous arrangement, provided that the same car hire company has offices in the two locations. Depending on the length of the car hire period, this may or may not incur an additional charge.

Is my wife considered an extra driver?

Yes, spouses are considered extra drivers.

Do you offer special prices for long-term car hire?

Yes, we can arrange special prices for long-term car hire. Please send us an e-mail to info@bravocarhire.com with your dates and preferred vehicle and we will get back to you with a quote.

I haven't got the second driver's details now. Does that matter?

No, you do not need to give us the second driver's details at time of booking. These can be given on collection of your vehicle.

Do the babyseats and boosters meet European safety standards?

Yes, all babyseats and boosters are fully compliant with European safety standards.

Are roofracks available and are they supplied with bungee cords to secure items?

Roofracks are available with some car rental companies. If a roofrack is available, yes, it will be delivered with suitable bungee cords for securing items to it.

Can I travel into another country with the hire car?

You are not normally permitted to travel to another country with your hire car. If you're hiring from Girona, however, you can take the hire car into France (with a daily insurance supplement of 7 €/day for the extra insurance cover required). You may aslo be able to take the car into Portugal - please consult.

Can you give me a quote for my car hire in pounds sterling?

No, all our quotes are in Euros. Please use a currency converter to get an idea of what the cost is in pounds sterling (or other currency).

What will happen if my flight arrives outside of office hours?

In cases where our supplier's office isn't open 24 hours/day, as long as you have provided your flight details, a representative of the car rental company will remain in the airport to meet your flight.
